Anne was born and raised in Downtown Toronto but has always loved escaping into nature. She spent summers as a young girl portaging across Algonquin Park, where she eventually came to lead others on canoe trips. While studying philosophy and political science at the University of King's College in Halifax, Anne started working for a local nonprofit called St. George's YouthNet. They provide free programs to underserved youth in the city's North End neighborhood. Anne was a wilderness coordinator, leading camping trips in parks around Nova Scotia, teaching kids about local ecology and basic survival skills.

More recently, Anne's attention has shifted to food justice and sustainability. Last summer, she worked on Earth Candy Farm, an organic, family-run farm on B.C.'s Salt Spring Island. Here she developed a deep appreciation for the time and energy that goes into growing healthy organic produce. Anne's very excited to bring her passion for food equity to an urban setting where she believes it's needed most. In Anne's free time, she enjoys reading, word puzzles, experimenting in the kitchen, and tending to her home garden.
