All PACT Life Coaches have already undergone extensive coach training and supervised practicums, and most are fully certified by the International Coaching Federation (ICF), before they come to PACT and receive the specialized training and ongoing support required to coach youth in serious and repeat conflict with the law. This ensures that they have the foundation and required experience to work within the LifePlan Program, coaching troubled youth referred from the Justice System who can be very challenging (but also very rewarding) clients.
PACT and Adler Partnership:
Many of PACT’s current coaches received their comprehensive training and prepare for their ICF certification at ADLER Faculty of Professional Coaching. Based in Toronto, Adler is one of the most recognized and respected coach training organizations in the world. PACT and Adler have recently and organically co-created a mutually beneficial partnership whereby selected Adler graduates are given the opportunity to ply their new trade in a unique and meaningful way- becoming coaches in the LifePlan Program.
Adler has also formed an important partnership with PACT in order to offer a training scholarship to selected individuals who have already shown a commitment to creating urban peace, working with youth and community building and would like to take things to the next level by working with PACT as a Life Coach but who are also in need of financial assistance in order to take the required coach training to become ICF Certified. To date Adler has accepted one individual into this Scholarship program who themselves has past experience within the justice system and is looking forward to coaching clients currently in conflict with the law within the PACT Program.
PACT greatly appreciates this important partnership with Adler and hopes that they will continue to support PACT and the LifePlan Coaching Program going forward by supplying qualified coaches and supporting (through training) those who want to help young people in conflict with the law but who may not be able to cover the related costs of training and certification on their own.
More About Adler’s Coach Certification program:

The Coach Certification program is informed by a core of nine guiding principles about “being human” drawn from Alfred Adler’s work. It is based on an exceptional, experiential learning dynamic. Students attain a deep understanding of coaching concepts, principles and methods by applying them inwardly in order to master the nuances of applying them to others. Adler certification provides a broad foundation of coaching skills and knowledge for use in the workplace and beyond the organizational setting.
