Grow-to-Learn Schoolyard Garden Community Markets: Summer 2016

The three, urban and organic PACT Toronto school gardens are in full swing over the summer, employing four garden managers and greatly benefiting from the help of several full-time Focus On Youth students and many dedicated community volunteers.

Thousands of pounds of fresh, organic produce and herbs are cultivated each season, that is traded for compost scraps, donated to local food banks, distributed to volunteers, used in culinary programs and sold at weekly community garden markets. All and any money raised through garden markets is put back into the gardens to purchase seeds and/or equipment, fund community group visits and run our School Curriculum Workshop program that provides free, in-garden education for local schools.

The PACT Grow-to-Learn Schoolyard Gardens grows only fresh, organic produce and herbs.
